Adelboden-Lenk Attractions

The Adelboden museum
The Adelboden museum, with its diverse range of displays about life and folklore in the Engstligen Valley, is a key cultural attraction in the Adelboden-Lenk resort area. Founded in 1983, it is situated within the former English church across from Rex cinema. Visitors will discover a mesmerizing collection of historical items from the region. Items on display include sports goods, minerals, clothes, historical chronicles and even a reconstructed mountain hut. The museum also provides information about recent events of interest, such as the 1999 avalanche winter.

Cultural Pathway Frutigland
Cultural Pathway Frutigland provides hikers and walkers with a chance to explore the wonders of the region. The route passes through the valleys of Engstlig, Kander, Kien and Frutig. The attraction gives visitors insight into the ways the mountain valleys are cultivated, the history of valley settlers, the historical background of the region and the crafts and buildings of valley dwellers.

The Engstligen waterfalls
The Engstligen waterfalls, a natural attraction in a category on its own with a length of 600 m, have been under preservation since 1948. They are the second-longest waterfalls in the country. The falls are one and a half hours away from the resort of Adelboden on foot, but there is also a bus route. The mountain path from Unter dem Birg runs alongside the roaring falls on the Engstligenalp. This natural spectacle can be enjoyed via a circular trail in summer and by cable car all year round. The latter option offers a breathtaking bird's eye view.

The Horeli Alpine Garden
The Horeli Alpine Garden offers all the magnificence and diversity of alpine flora with over 700 different species of flowers and herbs. 400 of them are labeled in three different languages (German, Latin and French). Located at an altitude of 1500 m, the garden is open to the public throughout the year. The best time to visit it is between June and September. You can rest assured that your visit will be pleasant every time, because the appearance of the garden changes with every week.
