Bergkirchli
Bergkirchli is a five-century old mountain chapel in Arosa, Switzerland. Concerts on its hand-painted organ are performed from Christmas to April, and also during the summer. These take place at 5 PM on Tuesdays.
Maran
The quaint mountain village of Maran is located 2 km north of Arosa. It is a popular destination for walkers, accessible via the Eichhornliweg (Squirrel's Path). Easy routes are possible via the Aroser Weisshorn to the Parpaner Weisshorn and over the Strela pass to Davos.
Arosa Mountain Paths
Visitors to Arosa will enjoy the pleasant, well-maintained footpaths running through pine woods and flowered alpine meadows. There is a route over the Maran plateau to Alp Pratschli at an altitude of 2,000 m. Treks are also possible to the romantic Lake Aelpli and from Untersee up through the Welschtobel gorge to the Alteinbach waterfalls. The latter trip takes one hour to complete. However, the most recommendable climbs include the Aroser Weisshorn (2.5 hours through Mittlere Hutte) and the Aroser Rothorn. Keep in mind that the latter is a rather difficult one.
