Reaching Meiringen / Hasliberg
Self-drive is one of the most popular options for reaching Meiringen / Hasliberg, thanks to the convenient motorways network, and besides it is quite picturesque. Another option is flying to Zurich and then taking one of the regular trains to the resort (every one hour). Traveling to the resort by rail only is not recommendable as many changes are required on the way.
By air:
flights to Zurich and Geneva are convenient. Still Zurich is a better choice, because of the larger number of flights and train connections it offers.
By car:
Meiringen is located at 117 km from Zurich International Airport. It is reached by Lucerne and Thun autobahns (A 8). Drivers should exit to the southeast to the Brunigstrasse, which leads to Meiringen.
By train:
Take a flight to Zurich International Airport. There is a train via Lucerne at every 13 minutes past the hour that will take you to Meiringen. The journey takes 2 hours and 40 minutes. Hasliberg is reached by regular bus services or driving; moreover it is not far and is also accessible by walking.
Reaching Brienz
By car:
Drive along the N8 from Interlaken to Brienz and take the exit Brienz - Giessbach, Axalp direction. Depending on your departure location, another option is the Luzern- Brunigpass. You will see the marked exit Brienz-Giessbach, direction Axalp.
By train:
Two options are available for reaching the resort by rail. One is taking the SBB Bern-Interlaken and then change at Interlaken with the train to Giessbach. A second option is the Brunig train Luzern-Brienz.
Observation:
Ship traveling around the resort area is available thanks to the adorable Brienz Lake.
