Murren, Switzerland - ski resort review
Murren is an idyllic, pedestrian resort nestling high up in the Swiss Jungfrau region. The lift pass covers the neighboring resorts of Grindelwald and Wengen. Only 300 people reside permanently in Murren. You can access the resort by car and park down in the valley or by train – The new cablecar from Lauterbrunnen is in operation since December 2006 and takes up to 100 people to Grutschalp in 4 minutes. Murren offers a half-pipe, a snow park, 15 lifts, and 26 pistes, 60% of which are intermediate. The nearest international airport is Zurich. There are 20 restaurants in the village. The highest lift goes to 9751 feet. The vertical drop is 7138 feet.
