Disentis and Sedrun are popular alpine resorts and holiday destinations, where strong local culture and traditions blend with modernity. Sedrun
The golf course in Sedrun boasts one of the most beautiful sceneries in Switzerland, where the greens are perfectly groomed and the golf game provides an ultimate delight. Golfers of different abilities are able to exercise on the tee-offs downhill and use the unique chance to strike the ball across the river Rhine. At the backdrop of the mountains you can only play on the Par 3, but keep attention since a slice or a push can hit a trout breeding farm well nearby. Choosing Hole 7 means a game amidst a fantastic panorama of the valley and the entire golf course. Ultimately, there is the Hole 9, where you should be very careful about the the drive across the Rhine, otherwise you can lose the entire score. Both professionals and beginners are welcome in the club from May to October; there are golf courses and private lessons available. The green fee is at a rate between 50.00CHF and 80.00CHF, depending on the golf course. There are 30-min. lections at the price of 55.00CHF, as well as golf packages and cards with reductions. Disentis
Created in 1989 by the Zermatt’s first golfers, the Golf Club Matterhorn has long traditions and offers courses of 9 and 18 holes. Through the years, several tournaments have been organized and in 2004, the club became a member of the Swiss Golf Association. Located in a picturesque area between Visp and Zermat, the club gives you the opportunity to play at the well-maintained greens and enjoy the marvellous panorama to the alpine surroundings. Beginners and those who like to improve skills can subscribe for golf lessons with professional trainer. The green fee at the 9-hole court is 55CHF (37EUR), at the 18-hole court - 90 CHF (60EUR) and there are reductions for juniors, as well as a Golf card with privileges.
