Getting to Maloja

Reaching St Moritz

St Moritz is located in the Engadin Valley, in the southeastern Swiss Alps. It is not far from Lugano. The resort has a railway station and its own small airport.

By car:
Driving to St. Morits is one of the options. The route goes from Zurich to Chur, via Thusis and Tiefencastel, crossing the Julier Pass. There is also the Albula Pass, but it is closed in the wintertime.

By train:
Zurich International Airport is a convenient destination to fly to. From there take a train to Chur and once you get there, change for the one to St. Moritz. Rail travelling to St. Moritz is highly recommended, especially in winter.

Reaching Pontresina

The best way to reach the resort is to use the plane-car or plane-train combination. Zurich is the most convenient and closest airport.

By car:
From Zurich take the road to Chur and from there drive south on the A13. It will take you to the route 417/3, which goes to Pontresina. A second option is to take the A3 or A1 Autobahn from Zurich International Airport, which lead to Chur. From there continue following the above-described directions.

By train:
The rail trip to Pontresina from Zurich includes up to four connections and takes 4 hours. Still, it is the most preferable and convenient way of getting to your destination.

Reaching Maloja and Sils
Both do not have their own railway station. Follow the above-described directions to reach St. Moritz. From there regular bus services are at visitors' disposal to Sils and Maloja. Bicycle is another great option, considering the close distance and the beautiful mountain landscape surrounding.
