St. Moritz is one of the most popular holiday resorts all over the world, set at altitude of 1,800 m above sea level in the sunny Upper Engadine, part of the Swiss Alps. Winter activities
The name "St. Moritz" has become a label in the tourist industry and in result it was registered as a trademark with internationally copyright protected rights. Besides its unique culture and climate, St. Moritz is the oldest winter holiday resort all over the world (since 1864). It hosted two Olympic Winter Games and many ski and bob championships, being also the centre of winter sports competitions including the Alpine Ski World Championship. Skiing is a real pleasure here, convenient transportation by 60 modern lifts will take you up to the skiing areas, featuring 350 km of groomed snow covered runs for any kind of ability. No matter if you are beginner, intermediate or ski expert, you will enjoy skiing at altitudes from 1800 to 3300 meters above sea level. The peaks around St. Moritz - Corviglia, Piz Palü, Corvatsch and Diavolezza provide stunning panorama and unforgettable skiing experiences. You can stop by at some of the panoramic restaurants, snow bars or ski huts and have an après-ski fun. To diversify with skiing, you can use the chance and try Nordic walking, golfing, mountain biking, alpinism, or riding sports.
Besides St. Moritz, there are 12 Engadine towns in the same area, which contribute to the regional sport events and entertainment program. Each of them has its own ambience and hosts an event – for example marathons (alpine and nordic cross-country skiing), events like Cresta Run, Bob Run, cricket, horse race on the frozen lake, olympic ski jump, polo and golf tournaments and many others in winter.
Summer activities
In summer, St. Moritz attracts tourists with all the opportunities of Endagine, one of most scenic and varied summer holiday regions in Switzerland. There are countless routes for hiking and climbing in the six different areas of the region at altitude between 1,750 and 3,303 m. Panoramic biking trails, water sports (wind surfing, swimming, sailing, etc) at the beautiful mountain lakes, as well as tennis and golfing add to the number of activities possible in the surroundings. Those that prefer leisure walking can take advantage of the cable cars that provide access to Piz Nair, Corvatsch and Diavolezza, magnificent peaks with gorgeous vistas. The panoramic trips start from these renowned mountain tops, like Corviglia and Muottas Muragl and in many cases the hiking walks end in one of the cosy mountain restaurants, relaxing and tasting from the local specialties.

Engadine valley and St. Moritz are synonyms for hospitality with long traditions and utmost care to visitors.
