Leukerbad is a thermal baths resort situated just north of the town of Leuk in the Canton of Valais. It delivers 3.9 million litres of thermal water in to 22 baths per day. Besides innumerable wellness and spa opportunities which can be enjoyed 365 days of the year, one can practice almost every imaginable sport in Leukerbad through the whole year. It offers a wide range of alpine sports activities. In the Torrent ski area there are more than 50 kilometers of pistes, offering a wealth of opportunities for skiing and snowboarding. Some of them have seen world-cup races. Not only ski fans but also panorama worshippers and sun lovers can enjoy the scenic views of the 4 000 meter high summits of the Valais Alps. Cross-country skiers can exercise close to the village or at Gemmi 2350 meters above sea level. 40 kilometers of open trails provide a true paradise for winter hiking in the crisp, fresh air of the Alps.

After a hard but thrilling day on the ski runs one could lie back in the outdoor pool and unwind in the warm thermal water letting the snow flakes dance all around him: it’s the perfect way of experiencing winter in Leukerbad!

The real highlight of Leukerbad is, however, wellness. There is something for everyone. One can either take advantage of the wellness packages, or enjoy individual wellness treatments in the public wellness centres, offering more than 130 different kinds of wellness treatments.

Also available are steam baths, jacuzzi, whirlpools and jets as well as pampering such as bathing at full moon, having breakfast in the water and aqua fit exercises.

Furthermore, the sports arena offers a plethora of facilities such as ice rink, squash, badminton, indoor tennis and spinning.
