Saas-Almagell is the most southerly-situated village in the Saas Valley, part of South Switzerland on the border with Italy. The valley has a wonderful sunny location among the highest Swiss mountains, which gave its name: “The Pearl of the Alps”. Thus, Saas-Almagell boasts a very attractive position among spectacular scenery, famous also as the home place of the Olympic champion Pirmin Zurbriggen. It has the typical atmosphere of a lovely Valais village, a favourite place especially to families.
